And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified - Romans 8:30

Glorification is the ultimate goal of a Christian's journey of faith. It is the culmination of the process of salvation, which begins with justification and sanctification. Justification is the act of God declaring a sinner righteous on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ. Sanctification is the ongoing process of becoming more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Glorification completes this process by transforming the believer's body to be like Christ's resurrected and glorified body.

This transformation is not just a physical one but also a spiritual one. The believer's mind and spirit will be completely transformed to be in perfect alignment with God's will. The apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:52-53, "For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality."

Glorification is the hope that sustains believers in the midst of trials and suffering. It gives us the assurance that our current struggles are temporary and that a better future awaits us. As Paul writes in Romans 8:18, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

At the end of the day, and certainly, at the end of time, glorification is the ultimate destiny of every Christian. It is a transformation of our whole being, both physical and spiritual, to be like Christ. It gives us the hope and assurance that our struggles in this life are temporary and that a better future awaits us. May we all eagerly anticipate the day when we will be glorified and dwell with our Lord and Savior forever.
