Not Ashamed of the Gospel

Not Ashamed of the Gospel

Oct 04, 2022

Paul tells us that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16). Like Paul, I’m proud to be Christian, and I’m also proud to see that, as evident from this picture, President Barack Obama is not ashamed of Christ and proud to be a Christian too!

What about you? Are you proud to be a Christian too? Or are you the kind of Christian that is ashamed to pray or even bless your food in public?

Have you ever been in any situations where you didn’t want anyone to know that you were a follower of Christ? Or are you just a person who really desires to share your faith, but you are afraid of what people will think of you? Can you think of any opportunities that you have let slip by to lead someone to Christ because you were ashamed, unprepared, and not equipped to be a soul winner?

Christ said that if you stand up for Him before men, then He would stand up for you before the Father (Matthew 10:32). So let us stand up and be who we are called to be! We are called to be soldiers, and one order given to us by the commander in chief is that we are to share the Gospel.

Sharing the Gospel is easier than you might think. Leading someone to Christ is not difficult when you start to understand that it is God Who draws all men to Christ and that He generously allows us to take part in the process. However, God can only use you if you are willing. If you are willing, you have to make up your mind not to be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.
