Return on Investment

ROI stands for Return on Investment, and did you know that you can get a return on your investment with God?

The success of any investment is always measured by the returns it generates. It could be a stock, a piece of property, or even a young athlete that a team decides to draft. We spend our hard-earned money, time, and resources to secure these investments with the hope of reaping significant returns in the future. But as we have seen time and again, not all investments yield the desired results.

In the world of sports, we have seen many teams invest heavily in young athletes, only to be disappointed when they fail to live up to their potential. The story of Carson Wentz, the young quarterback drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles years ago, is a perfect example. Despite being hailed as a great choice, he failed to deliver the desired results for the Eagles, leaving them to trade him away. Similarly, the Philadelphia 76ers secured the number one draft pick two years in a row, but their investment in Ben Simmons and Markel Fultz never paid off.

But there is one investment that guarantees a return, and that is an investment in God. As Christians, we know that when we invest in God, we will always receive a return on our investment. Investing in God involves giving Him our time, talent, and resources. When we give our lives to Him, we receive a guaranteed return on our investment. God promises that when we invest in Him, we will receive blessings that are beyond anything that we can hope for or imagine.

One of the most significant returns on our investment in God is the gift of salvation. Through Jesus Christ, we receive the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. This return on our investment is priceless and cannot be measured in terms of material wealth.

Investing in God also brings peace of mind, joy, and a sense of purpose. When we give our lives to Him, we find fulfillment in knowing that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. We become part of God's plan, and our lives take on a new and greater meaning.

Another significant return on our investment in God is the knowledge that we are not alone. We have a God who loves us, cares for us, and is always with us. This knowledge brings comfort and strength during difficult times, and it is a reminder that we can overcome any obstacle.

We tend to invest a lot of money in a lot of people, and many times people don’t live up to our expectations and do not give us the proper return. So let us continue to invest in God with all our hearts, knowing that He will always provide a guaranteed return on our investment.
